Dutch at the beach

Mike and LeeAnne held the baptism of their son Dutch (I know what a cool name) recently on Longboat Key beach. Dutch is a great kid and has the best facial expressions. Here are some of my favorites.

Kids

I've always found kids fun to photograph for the simple reason that they love to get there picture taken and have none of the hang-ups that plague adults. Here are some of my favorites from the past and present.

Enjoy...

Playing with Photoshop

I love photoshop, it can take an average picture and give it character and life. I don't as a matter of course use a lot of photoshoping in my work, but every now and again I find a picture I think can use the help (besides it's fun). This picture is one of my favorites, I just decided to see what it would look like in B&W. I absolutely love the burn tool, I burned out the back ground and blah blah blah... see for yourself.

Enjoy, and feel free to let me know what you think.

Holga

I'm a big fan of lomo photography, using cameras I find at garage sales or the goodwill but I especially love my Holga, for those of you who don't know the Holga is a crappy plastic camera with major flaws. The most obvious of these flaws are major light leaks but it also sprinkles in overlapping frames and major vignetting. Here are some pictures it took in Scotland last year.

For more information on Holga check out these links below, just copy and past them into your web browser enjoy...

Mexico

I was recently in Mexico with the family and wow what a wonderful place, the people we're great the food was fantastic and we all had the best time. Below are pictures of a great restaurant named La Perlita were we had a great lunch (they served the best seafood I've ever had), and just below that are picture of Senor Sanchos beach were we spent a great day right next to the water. All and all it was a great family vacation, you should definitely check it out.
